Restaurant Host / Cashier
Essential Duties: Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. Process tickets for payment from servers and guests. Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. Upon seating guest, offer guests a menu and inform them of the special and their server’s name. Example “Our special is ___. _____will be your server and he/she will be right with you”. Inform server of newly seated guest. When immediate seating is limited, record the number of and name of the party to be announced when seating is available. Accommodate special seating requests for guest whenever possible. Seat guest based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow for each server. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed. At times when servers are busy: take the table’s drink order and help by bussing tales to allow additional guests to be seated. Accept payment from servers and guests, process credit card charges, make change (if applicable) with the exception of times when a cashier is on duty. Handle all discounts and coupons, strictly as stated on the document. If you are unsure how to handle a discount or coupon request a supervisor. The customer is always to be treated with the utmost respect. When our guests are leaving ask how they enjoyed their dining experience and thank them for dining with us. Comply with food service policies and procedures. Be willing and able to help co-workers as situations arise. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience: 6 months experience in a similar capacity is preferred .
Special Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, supervisors and guests. Possess the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Basic math skills are required. Must provide positive interaction with guests, always with a smile and using the most courteous manners. Must be exceptionally groomed, dependable and punctual.
Licenses: Obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license
Job Demands
Physical: Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, work in a standing position for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Environmental: Work in casino operations containing second hand smoke, high noise level and bright lights.
